Mushroom Gravy
Ingredients
- 1 pint cremini or button mushrooms, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp thyme
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup vegan margarine
- 1 litre vegetable stock (or to taste)
Instructions
- Make a roux by melting 1/4 cup vegan margarine.
- Once melted, add garlic and thyme and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring regularly.
- Add mushrooms and cook until they release water.
- Gradually add brother until desired thickness is achieved.
- Enjoy on loaves, potatoes, etc.!
