What is plant-based?

Plant-based foods refer to foods that come from plants such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds and legumes. These foods do not include animal-based foods like meat, dairy, eggs, and honey.

A plant-based diet generally refers to a diet that’s entirely made of plant-based foods, without any animal products. However, even if you shift just a part of your diet, you can make a big impact.
